Foaled in 1923 in Texas, Joe Hancock was a speed horse who became one of the all-time great early sires of AQHA rope horses! Joe Hancock raced in match races for a number of years before the formation of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). He was so good that eventually no one was willing to challenge him! Among Joe Hancock's many great offspring were Brown Joe Hancock and Red Man.
