You'll want to add this art of the third Triple Crown winner to your horse racing collection!
Omaha was the first Triple Crown winner to be sired by a Triple Crown winner (Gallant Fox). He was also the only Triple Crown winner to ever cross the Atlantic to race! Omaha earned his Triple Crown champion title in 1935. At age 4, Omaha was sent to England, where he won the Queen's Plate and the Victor Wild Stakes and finished second by a nose in the Ascot Gold Cup. Omaha was known for his massive size (16.3 hands), smooth racing style and exceptionally thick tail! Quote on bottom of piece reads: "In action he was a glorious sight; few Thoroughbreds have exhibited such a magnificent, sweeping, space-annihilating stride, or carried it with such strength and precision. -- Salvator".Your Omaha horse racing fine art is hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. A very limited amount of only 50 highly collectible signed and numbered Artist's Proofs are also available (contact us to purchase). Be sure to check out Rohde's other portraits of famous race horses!
