Be one of the few to own this rare portrait of Exterminator: horse racing legend!
Known affectionately as "Old Bones" due to his angular appearance, Exterminator had one of the most amazing and lengthy careers of any thoroughbred racehorse in history. First stepping onto a track in 1917, Exterminator won exactly half of his 100 starts, including the Kentucky Derby! The great gelding ran his last race in 1924 and spent the rest of his life in peaceful retirement with a pony companion. Quote on bottom of piece reads: "Everyone loves and reverences this brave and noble creature, and he will be remembered as long as generous hearts warm to brave and noble deeds". Exterminator is available unframed or framed in a very nice brown solid wood designer frame and matted in antique white. Your Exterminator horse racing art is hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. Exterminator is a must have for the collector of horse racing memorabilia or anyone who loves the history of the sport!
