Affirmed was the eleventh and most recent (1978) winner of the American Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. He was the great-great-grandson of Triple Crown winner War Admiral, who was himself a son of the legendary Man o' War! Affirmed is particularly famous for his amazing rivalry with Alydar, whom Affirmed raced against ten times, including in all three Triple Crown races, and who became the first racehorse to finish second in all three Triple Crown races. Quote on bottom of piece reads: "He will forever stand with those who exemplify the word 'champion' in Thoroughbred racing".

You can purchase Affirmed either unframed or framed in a beautifully decorated brown and gold designer frame with a textured white mat. The frame has an easel attachment on the back so you can either set it up on a shelf or hang it on a wall! Affirmed comes personally hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
