One of the fabled Calumet Farm's greatest champions, Whirlaway (Blenheim II x Dustwhirl by Sweep) won the Triple Crown in 1941 and captured the Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year for 1941 and 1942. Whirlaway retired as the world's greatest money earner, and later sired 1947 Kentucky Derby winner Jet Pilot.
